Joinery is measured on site, not from a drawing, which means it comes late — after plastering, when the openings are their final size. That is also what makes it a common source of delay: a wardrobe cannot be made until the room is finished enough to measure, and it cannot be fitted until it has been made.

Planning it into the programme rather than ordering it when the room looks ready is most of the difference between joinery arriving on time and joinery arriving three weeks after everything else is done.

The calculator uses €24 to €108 per m² of floor area for internal doors depending on the finish tier — the same figures it uses for a whole-project budget, because there is only one rate card.
